Download Navy Federal Statements for Every Account

By CheapBankConvertPublished October 17, 2026

To download Navy Federal statements, sign in to online banking and choose Statements from the navigation menu, or in the mobile app go to More, then Account and Tax Statements. Up to 36 months are saved online. Checking, savings and loans arrive together on one combined statement, while Visa and Mastercard cards get their own.

Where are Navy Federal statements online and in the app?

Navy Federal statements are in a Statements area that covers all your accounts, rather than inside each account's page. Navy Federal's paperless statements page gives the paths: Statements from the navigation menu in online banking, or More and then Account and Tax Statements in the mobile app.

In online banking on a computer

  1. Sign in at navyfederal.org.
  2. Choose Statements from the navigation menu.
  3. Pick the statement type and the month you want.
  4. Open the PDF, then save it with your browser's save or download button.

In the Navy Federal mobile app

  1. Sign in to the app.
  2. Tap More in the navigation menu.
  3. Tap Account and Tax Statements.
  4. Choose the statement, open it, and use your phone's share or save option.

The app route suits one statement in a hurry. For a year's worth, use a computer, where you can rename each PDF as you save it and keep them in one folder. Tax forms sit in the same app section, so year-end documents and monthly statements are in one place.

Joint owners sometimes find the Statements area empty or still set to paper. Navy Federal's online statements disclosure says only the primary member may choose electronic delivery for the combined statement. If you are the joint owner, ask the primary member to switch delivery or to download the PDFs for you, rather than hunting through your own login for documents it cannot show.

The 36-month Navy Federal statement archive

The Navy Federal statement archive holds up to 36 months of statements, saved automatically and available to view or print. That figure comes from Navy Federal's paperless statements page. Three years covers most loan, rental and tax needs, but not a full seven-year record.

What the 36 months mean in practice:

  • A rolling window. Each new statement pushes the oldest one past the 36-month mark. A statement you can see today may be gone in a month.
  • Your own archive is the long-term record. If you might need statements older than three years, for a tax question or a legal matter, download them now and keep them yourself.

A worked example of the rolling window

Suppose today is May 2026 and you need statements for the 2023 tax year. The dates here are an example. A 36-month window reaching back from May 2026 starts around May 2023, so January to April 2023 have already left the online archive, while May to December 2023 are still there. In June, May 2023 drops off too.

The fix is to act on the part you can still reach. Download May to December 2023 today, then request January to April 2023 as older statements. Waiting a few months only moves more of that year into the paid request.

A simple habit avoids losing anything: once a quarter, download the last three months of statements for every account and card. The archive then never holds the only copy.

Reading a Navy Federal combined statement

A Navy Federal combined statement puts several accounts in one monthly PDF. Navy Federal's online statements disclosure says it gives transaction history for your primary savings, checking, Money Market Savings, consumer loan and Checking Line of Credit accounts, as applicable.

The table sums up the statement types the disclosure describes.

Statement type What it covers How often
Combined statement Primary savings, checking, Money Market Savings, consumer loan, Checking Line of Credit Monthly
Visa or Mastercard statement Each credit card account Monthly
Certificate and IRA statement Certificates and IRA accounts Quarterly
Mortgage and home equity statements Mortgage, fixed equity loan, home equity line Monthly

The combined layout means one file holds several sets of balances. Each account has its own section, with its own opening balance, transactions and closing balance. Read the section headers before you use any number. A savings balance copied in place of a checking balance is an easy slip on a long PDF.

The combined statement also changes what you share. If a landlord asks for checking statements, sending the combined PDF also shows your savings and loan balances. Ask whether the requester will accept the whole document or whether you should redact the other sections first.

Navy Federal credit card statements are separate documents from the combined statement. The disclosure describes a monthly Visa or Mastercard statement for each primary card account, so the cards do not appear alongside checking and savings. You download them from the same Statements area, by choosing the card instead of the combined statement.

Two card details from the disclosure, and one practical point:

  • Only the primary applicant on the card can choose electronic statements for it.
  • A closed card switches to paper. If the card account is closed, for any reason, its statements are printed and mailed.
  • The card statement has its own cycle, ending on the card's closing date rather than on the combined statement's date.

That closed-card rule is a good reason to download card statements before you close a card. The general guide to downloading credit card statements for every card you own covers closing-date periods and keeping a log across several issuers. If you also hold a card elsewhere, the steps for downloading American Express statements work the same way: save every cycle, named by closing date.

How do you get Navy Federal statements older than 36 months?

You get Navy Federal statements older than the 36-month archive by asking for copies to be mailed. The disclosure says to choose Statements, then "Request Older Statements", pick the statement, and have it mailed to your address of record. You can also call Navy Federal at 1-888-842-6328. There may be a $2.00 copy fee per paper statement.

The disclosure is dated 2016, so the menu labels in today's online banking may differ. If you cannot find a request option, the phone line is the fallback.

Plan the cost before you ask. At the disclosure's possible $2.00 per copy, here is an example for a typical request:

Request (example) Statements Possible fee
One older tax year, combined statement only 12 $24.00
Same year, combined statement and one card 24 $48.00

Narrow the request to the accounts and months you actually need. If only the checking section matters, you still receive the combined statement, so there is no saving in asking for "checking only". There is a saving in asking for six months instead of twelve.

Mailed copies arrive on paper. Scan them as soon as they arrive and file the scans with your downloaded PDFs, so the whole history lives in one folder.

Saving a Navy Federal statement as a PDF file

Saving a Navy Federal statement as a PDF file works through your browser. The paperless page talks about viewing and printing, and the disclosure adds that you can print or save the PDF statements with your browser's print or save function to keep copies for your records.

Two ways to get a file:

  1. Save from the PDF viewer. When the statement opens, use the download or save icon in the browser's PDF viewer. This keeps the original file.
  2. Print to PDF. Choose Print, then pick "Save as PDF" or "Microsoft Print to PDF" as the printer. This works if the save button is missing.

Prefer the first. Printing to PDF can flatten the text into a picture on some setups, which makes the file harder to search and harder to convert later.

Name the files so they sort by date and say which statement type they are, for example NFCU-combined-2026-04.pdf and NFCU-visa-2026-04.pdf. The type in the name matters at Navy Federal more than at most banks, because each month produces at least two documents if you hold a card.

Splitting Navy Federal combined statement rows by account

Splitting Navy Federal combined statement rows by account is the step people forget when converting the PDF to a spreadsheet. A converter or copy-and-paste will pull every transaction line from every section. Without an account column, savings transfers and loan payments mix with checking activity, and every total is wrong.

A clean way to handle it:

  1. Convert the combined statement to CSV or Excel.
  2. Add a column called Account, and fill it for each block of rows from the section header above it.
  3. Check each section separately: its opening balance plus deposits, minus withdrawals, should equal its closing balance.
  4. Filter to the account you need before building a budget or sending figures to anyone.

Transfers between your own accounts appear twice, once in each section. Remove both sides before you total spending or income, or treat them as transfers.

Uploading a statement anywhere means trusting someone with every account in the combined PDF, so read who can see your uploaded files before choosing a tool. Other banks lay out statements differently. The guide to downloading Ally Bank statements shows another online-only archive for comparison. CheapBankConvert is getting ready to open, will price each conversion per document, and deletes the statement once you have downloaded your file.
